wool and bamboo felts> felt care instructions

How do you know the wool content of a 'woolfelt' on a web site?

Much of the "Woolfelt" shown on web sites is only partly wool.

There are felts on the market that are called "Woolfelt", but the wool content is actually quite low, either 20%/80% or 35%/65% wool/rayon.

Unless the wool content specifically stated, it will be a blend with a synthetic filler.

Although less expensive, this is a different quality felt than pure wool.

It does not have the integrity, the touch, the long wearing properties, or the ability to form and mold with steam heat that pure wool does.

If you do see felt specifically advertised as 100% pure wool felt, chances are very good that it is not.
