BRAID 3: a ridged Kongo for a key ring
The Kongo reversed.
Please arrange threads in 2 colours as shown. The 4 white threads may be longer than the 8 blue ones. A key ring has the threads passing through it and a weight is attached to the ring. Please keep the two pairs of blue threads relatively close together. This braid is based on the kongo but with an exciting difference in appearance.
The initial move is to take the white thread at the upper right and move it down to the right of the three white threads opposite below.
Then the white thread on the left at the south moves to the north and to the left of the single white thread there.
The attention then turns to the blue pairs of threads and each pair is treated separately as a unit. So first the blue thread on the extreme right at the north is moved to the south at the extreme right of the blue threads there.
The blue thread to the left of the three threads at the south has been moved to the left of the single blue thread at the north.
Now the second pair of twin threads will be moved in the same way. Here the blue thread at the north on the right is moved to the right of its corresponding pair of blue threads at the south.
Here the blue thread to the left of the three at the south has been moved up to the left of the single blue thread in the north. These moves starting with the white pairs are now repeated ......

to produce this.
