silk thread, made in Japan, is very similar to the traditional
silk kumihimo thread that comes in ropes. However, it doesn't
have the disadvantage of being pre-cut, and coming in hard-to-
handle hanks that tangle easily.
You
can cut your length in exactly the lengths you want, eliminating
wastage. At $4.75 for a 109 yard spool, it's also much less expensive
to build up a nice array of shades for your color palate. This
is size 50 thread, also suitable for machine sewing or hand or
machine embroidery.
